Two bedroom apartment, separate living room with open kitchen in 17th century historic classified building. Sleeps four. Two double beds. Second floor, no elevator. (70 sq. metres/700 square feet)

In the heart of old Paris, the rue Vauvilliers is a charming short and narrow street running between the rue St. Honoré and Les Jardins des Halles.

The apartment is reached by an amazingly attractive staircase. The living room is comfortably furnished in an English style. Its well-equipped open kitchen makes it easy to cook and entertain guests at the same time!

Each of the 2 bedrooms has a double bed and its own closet space. There is a modern bathroom with shower, plus a separate WC.

All of the rooms retain the original old wooden beams in the ceiling, lending a captivating charisma to the apartment. Nevertheless, there are the modern conveniences one would like: Cable TV, hi-fi radio/CD player, internet, wi-fi, telephone and washing machine.

Naturally, the necessary accessories are provided - For the kitchen, a microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, cutlery and glassware and plenty of casseroles for cooking. Also, an iron and ironing board along with a fan for warm weather.

YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD: The nearby Jardin des Halles offers extensive cultivated gardens and lawns and you can hear the clink of the "boules" from your apartment as devotees of this traditional French game gather in the evening setting sun to play nearby. There is also a 50 metre modern heated swimming pool a few minutes away in the same area - as well as a score of cinemas, many of which show English language films. Voila! Everything at your feet! Just a few hundred yards further is Rue Montorgeuil - a thriving gourmet food paradise where there is a choice of 5 boulangeries, 4 cheese shops, 3 fishmongers and a host of other tempting speciality boutiques - as well as a variety of supermarkets for more mundane items. You'll find everything you've ever dreamed of…and some things you've never heard of!
